rear axle mount bushes

#1: rear axle mount bushes Author: howies PostPosted: Sat Oct 04, 2014 6:18 am

hi there , new member to this site ..
i have a 05 plate 206 1.4 , had a new axle that i fitted from axle-direct(my rear radius arm had collapsed , but the new axle never had the new mounting bushes when i bought it !), the front mount bushes went and where replaced and now its time to do the rear ones as they have gone now to, the problem lies with the bushes breaking away on the inside of the bush an collapsing , has any experienced any problems with the whole bush slipping up and down on the axle ? i was thinking of changing them to power-flex bushes as they are a different design , has anyone tried these bushes out ?

looking for feed back regarding rear axle mount bushes and problems that people have had ??

cheers Sean

no. never hear people have problems with those standard rubber bushes.

And they are a pain to remove/insert from the axle.

cheers for the reply ,
to remove them i just cut them out and then press the new ones in , its not that bad a job with the correct tools,
i just think the design of them are a bit rubbish and have seen the bushes slip on other cars ,so gonna change them out for powerflex as there a better design
