The tell tale is coming on, and power is reaching the fuses, which would suggest it's not the switch.



Here is the wiring diagram for the multi-plexed headlights. It might narrow down the cause.
 


If power is reaching the fuses, then I'd do a continuity check between the fusebox and the headlamps, although you'd be unlucky to have both circuiys develop a fault at the same time.
