#17: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 3:24 pm ---- Quick update:
Well Diagbox found the running fault, P1153 - motorised throttle body.
Picked up a good 2nd hand unit cheap to fit at weekend.
Apparently its a common problem & software update also needed.
Another job for the list.
#18: Re: Project run about Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 4:19 pm ---- Throttle bodies are common to fail, don't forget to learn the throttle and perform resetting of the auto adaptives.
Also did you ever update your ecu software? As ive had random fault codes when they are out of date! Or the software is playing up
#19: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 4:29 pm ---- Not had software update yet, its on the list
I reset auto adaptive yesterday & low speed response is better.
#20: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Jul 12, 2015 12:57 pm ---- A little update as the project draws near to the end.
Software update the other week & the car runs & drives a lot better
1 question: Anyone know where to find the auto / motion locking setting in the BSI configuration with Planet?
Also fitted heated seat kit to the leather interior I picked up the other month
Thanks to the way the £ is doing against the € its far cheaper to get the kit delivered form Germany then it is to buy it in the UK
Going to do a full round up post in a few weeks when its finally finished.
Last job on the list is to clean it inside & out

A very long time since I've used PP, but I'm sure there was a Locking or something similar when you went into the BSI. Majority of the time I could only ever find the auto re-lock setting to switch on in most 206s, which was odd as I'm sure that option was only available in the SW!

That brings back memories, fitting them in the car!
#23: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Thu Jul 23, 2015 1:52 pm ---- Hi Lee
I've seen the auto relocking setting in the BSI.
Im going to have a look on my GLX as you activated the auto / motion locking on that one & see if I can find the settings.
Both cars have the exact same equipment for door locking / security, only the BSI unit part numbers & the software versions are different.

Just came by here looking for instructions on Resetting Auto Adaptives, and discovered this line. What does a 'software update' refer to in this context please?
(For clarity, I removed the horrendous universal cone filter previous owner added to my GTi and put a standard airbox back on... and want to do a reset to get the idle a bit smoother. Hoping that an adaptive reset will help.)
#25: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:14 am ---- The engine ecu software was updated by a Peugeot main dealer along with BSI software.
#26: Re: Project run about Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:17 am ---- Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Mind if I ask how much that set you back?
#27: Re: Project run about Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:48 am ---- £42 but was a small friendly Peugeot dealer & a Saturday morning job.

#29: Re: Project run about Author: VorTechS, Location: Gloucestershire, UKPosted: Tue Jul 24, 2018 8:58 am ---- Haha yes. Well I can *try* my local dealer, as I've got to book the 308 GTi for its service. Is there a way I can tell if it needs an update?
