My car is in need of a new drive belt as it's starting to slip a bit.
I tried searching the forums but couldn't find what i was looking.
Can someone point me to a simple guide/diagram?
Once the belt is removed and when placing a new belt does it matter which pully etc the belt loops around first or is there no specific order for this?

Take the wheel arch lining out and then get somebody to loosen the tensioner at the top by pushing hard with a 15mm spanner, make sure they aren't going to slip and then slip the belt off, same putting it back on.
Or you can push the spanner yourself and put something through the hole to lock the tensioner out, I find this to take longer.

I tried pulling and tugging on them but i didn't want to go too hard because it felt like they were going to snap off. Is there an easy way to remove these or are they just prone to snapping off

They're not exactly expensive so don't fret if you do break any...
But they're two part, one outer piece that gets spread, and thus locks in, when the center piece is pushed in.
This pic is of a very similar, though not exact, clip.
To remove you need to pull up the center piece: I normally use a thin knifeblade sideways between the pieces and pry it up until I can get a fingergrip. Pull out the center piece. Then insert the blade under the rim of the outer piece and pry that out...
Other popular method is using a fork on the center piece, insert under the 'hat' of the center piece, a tine on each side of the stem.
