#1: Peugeot 206 1.4 8v Oil leak/Head Gasket Author: conker1221, Posted: Sun Nov 16, 2014 1:53 pm ---- Hi Guys,
I have a ever so small oil leak on the cambelt side of my engine, you can see it's coming from around where the gasket is and reading online it seems a pretty common fault with the 1.4 8v engine.
So am I pretty sure I need a new Head Gasket, but I am wondering if anybody could give me advice on a reasonable price? Am I better off going to a peugeot garage etc.
I have been told by a friend that £300 would be reasonable.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

might be a good idea to throw a new water pump and cambelt on it at the same time.
it's easier to do with the head off.

I'll get some quotes and hopefully I can get around the £300 mark.

#9: Re: Peugeot 206 1.4 8v Oil leak/Head Gasket Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Tue Nov 18, 2014 11:36 am ---- Rocker cover is easily warped as well if the fixings are tightened above there recommended torque setting.
Many a TU rocker cover has been ruined by people being to heavy handed on the tools when refitting it.
