#1: rear wheel bearing How to diagnosis which one faulty? Author: Cypriot, Posted: Sat Nov 22, 2014 3:04 pm ---- Hello,
I found out that one of the rear wheel bearing on my 1999 206 1.9D is gone bad. There's a loud whinning noise while driving and it's coming from the rear.
There is no noise when the car jack up and rotates tyres on the air
This whinning noise start after 20 - 25mph and get loud. The interesting thing is whe I turn left, the noise goes away.
When I turn right or go forward, the noise is still there.
Would this indicate a bad left or right rear wheel bearing?
Thanks
Cypriot

I couldnt wait to buy for right side and replace rear left wheel bearing. Vehicle very silent. But I can easily hear clicking noise from front (suspension I think) when driving car rough roads.
I should find out what makes those clicking noises.
