Okay so yesterday i was driving along when the car juddered and the management light came on, it then went off and the car was fine. Today it did the same but cut out, tried to start straight away but nothing just turning over. Turned the key on to prime the fuel pump, waited till the humming stopped and it started, 5 seconds later it cut out again, kept doing it since and is now left at the side of the road, i'm thinking blocked fuel filer or goosed fuel pump? Any ideas?

Needs scanning, light has been on so there will be fault codes stored.

If the engine diagnostic light has been on then there will be codes stored.

Fingers crossed the equipment you have access to can actually read it as this will be pre EOBD.
