#47: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Fri Dec 12, 2014 2:59 pm ---- I'd go with inertia switch as a possibility. Have you had it scanned
#48: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Fri Dec 12, 2014 4:48 pm ---- Not as of yet but I will be doing. I'm going to bypass the inertia in the morning
#49: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Sat Dec 13, 2014 6:13 am ---- Right so she is going to have to be scanned I haven't managed to get to the bottom of the problem.
I have removed and cleaned the earths and the crank sensors.
Tested the crank sensor plug and got 0.3v on ignition and 0.4 on cranking?
Tested the coilpack plug and have got 5.5v and similar on cranking.
Removed the coilpack and a spark plug to check for a spark.. NO SPARK
removed the multifunction relay when ignition is on and put it back in.. heard a clixking noise around the injector area.
Dismantled the inertia switch and left the red rubber cover off to see the circuit break and reconnect.
Tested the battery 12v.. used my audi to put some more power in when cranking. No joy.
Heard the fuel pump prime each time ignition goes on.
Needs diagnotic tesing but are there any tell tail signs with the reading i have??

cambelts on so cams will be turning ?
Take cover off . Missions .. ! or take oil cap off and turn it over & look at the cams throu the hole .
#54: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Sat Dec 13, 2014 12:04 pm ---- As above. Or undo top camber cover bolts and see if belts are turning the cams whilst someone cranks the engine. Can also remove a spark plug and look down the hole, sometimes easier to drop a long screwdriver down and turn the crank by hand, the screw driver should lift up and down. Make sure nothing falls into the spark plug hole though.
#55: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Dec 13, 2014 12:37 pm ---- Just take the oil cap off.
#56: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sat Dec 13, 2014 1:40 pm ---- Is this seriously still going on?
And you havent yet put it on a code reader?!

Not necessarily ... the belts may look intact but the bottom crank gear may not be turning or the belt has a gap in the teeth meaning it can't grip. You car going to have to get the cam blet covers off or find a way to see if both cams are turning ...
#58: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Sun Dec 14, 2014 7:07 am ---- Yes it is seriously.. going on. I work shifts so I haven't had the chance to get someone to check the diagnostics yet. I was on the works Christmas do yesterday so that is the weekend wrote off. Its going to be monday now before I can check the diagnostics.
#59: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Mon Dec 15, 2014 5:37 am ---- I have just gone and treated myself to A laptop that can split into a tablet that has pp2000 already set up on it. Comes with all leads for older and newer models. £210 delivered. Saves me ever needing to use a garage again
#60: Re: 206 Gt will not start. Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Tue Dec 16, 2014 11:34 am ---- Right so here are the faults I have on pp2000.
ENGINE SPEED SENSOR is the crank sensor.
With the car not sending enough fuel through the front pipe (after priming) and having no spark I am starting to think the crank sensor is faulty.
The ecu is unlocked not locked and it says no bsi faults.
