Just a normal fault code reader would help.

I know someone who has is but not sure how much they charge. They deal in axles but I'm will ask and see if they can do the reading. Based in Padiham

You wont get connected with an aftermarket scan tool if the car is immobilised.

Yes if you could find a price that would be great.

This was checked when the car was running and starting up first time, I have not tried to link an aftermarket one since the summer time.

Definitely does not link with any though, think only 2001 and on 206 link with a hand held reader. I have a maxiscan ms509 and it will pick up the Audi just never links to the pug. I don't think the 99 model 206 was obd2 compliant

Spoke with them today Just tell them when you ring that Nathan From the 206 forums Has told you to call. It should cost around £20 to read the car and if they are able to fix the fault they will let you know how much (If applicable) before anything gets done. 0800 9788 190 Axle Direct
