#1: Removal and refitting the battery On a GTI HDI. Author: Muddychis, Posted: Wed Dec 17, 2014 9:45 am ---- I'm having a few health problems at the moment. Subsequently I'm not allowed to drive. Feeling a bit depressed about it all so parked my GTI HDI up a couple of months ago. Went her yesterday thinking I should at least fire the old girl up, and I have a flat battery.
I have looked through the FAQ but can't find anything ralating to removal and refitting the battery after I've put it on the charger for a day or so.
I'm sure it's not as simple as remove and then refit.
If someone could please offer a bit of advice
Cheers
Chris

I knew it wasn't straight forward but not as complicated as it could have been.

Been a bit busy over the festive period so not had a chance earlier.
Any way I have a problem. The battery is completely flat so I cant wind down the window.
Obviously the Bsi will be not only asleep but pretty much comatose. So I would assume that it will be ok to take the battery off and charge it. But are there any ideas on how to get the battery back on? I can leave the bonnet up whilst the battery is off. But will it caurse me problems with the electrics when I refit without the window open.?
