#1: 206 Verve 2003 Leaking on Front Passenger side Author: snowy, Posted: Sat Dec 27, 2014 4:17 pm ---- Hi,
I've had my 206 for 2 years now and last year it leaked at the back passenger side door, we solved this by a bending the door slightly as it seem to not be closing properly, the was a massive gap between the door and the body and also, im told, we duct taped up the membrane behind the door card which seemed to do the trick.
A year later it begins leaking, this time from the front, we've already duct-taped the membrane back on, taping all around the edges to make sure the water doesn't flow out of the door into the car but it's still leaking. I've checked the drainage hole in the door and it seems to be clear.
The seal isn't very worn looking either but there definitely seems to be a small wet trail leading from the front corner of the seal down the plastic-rubbery edging and into the carpet, it is a very slight trail whenever I've seen it and the entire passenger footwell is soaked through.
Any ideas?

Which appeared after I'd driven it for the first time in a few weeks, it usually sits on a 20 degree or so decline so i assumed that when I drove it the water flowed out. Since then there's been no huge pool just a continuously wet carpet having dried it out.

Dry it right out, and when it happens again try and collect a sample and see what it smell/looks like, you would be able to tell if it's water or coolant by smell alone and colour to clarify.
Keep an eye on your coolant level too as if you're loosing some you'll end up with more issues as a result.
For your sake I would hope it is rain water and not the heater matrix.
If you're planning any long journeys that can't be avoided then take a bottle of coolant with you to be safe.

Have you checked the drains below the scuttle panel to make sure they are clear?

Normally the water just drips on the gear stick but if the car is parked on a slope, then it could run anywhere.
