#1: 206 2.0 HDi making noised i've never noticed before Author: Imelliot, Location: East Ayrshire, ScotlandPosted: Thu Jan 01, 2015 7:40 pm ---- When i say never noticed before thats down to me usually having music loud all the time but i had the radio off earlier and heard some noised Im a little concerned about. First one is hard to explain when accelerating up in the 50mph mark it sound like a jet landing, Closest thing i could match it to obviously not as loud. Also i noticed when coming off boost i hear what sounds like a dump valve makes a *Pshh* sound and it does it instantly when you lift the throttle so it's acting like a blow off but i didn't think turbo diesels had such a thing? Is this normal or is it something i should be worried about? like a boost leak perhaps, If im honest i really like the sound i drove about 6 mile constantly coming onto boost then lifting off
#2: Re: 206 2.0 HDi making noised i've never noticed before Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Fri Jan 02, 2015 1:40 am ---- you have a boost leak for sure,check all hoses,specially the one going to the intercooler from the turbo,as there is a red/orange rubber gasket,that might be going faulty,this will make u lose power on if the leak is big.
