All AirBags share the same module, which is located under the ashtray in the center console.

Side airbag units on a NON plexed 206 like this will be bolted to the sills.

One airbag ecu on each side hidden under carpet along sill, front seat out job, pull up door rubber bottom edge then unclip carpet edge - silver box with orange plug is what your looking for.

Main front airbag & seatbelt ecu is under front ashtray.

Non plexed 206s with side airbags have a total of 3 airbag control units.

Is there side airbag modules the same on each side, so buying a left or right will fit both sides, i,m sure peugeot wouldn't make a right module just for the right side, hope you get what i,m on about lol.

Just out of interest, on the odd day the side airbag light stays of, the next day it will come on, it was sorted but i had to get out the way of an ambulance, i hit a small man hole cover, straight away the light came on. Under the left seat the wires was damaged so it was sorted and all ok but that dam ambulance made it come on. I blame the nhs lol.

Ye it was put on a tester, it stated issues with both side airbags, one was fixed by repairs to wires under the seat, so strange this, it was fine untill i moved out the way of an ambulance, as soon as i hite a man hole cover the side airbag light came on, it was put back on the tester and it stated a fault with the right hand module, but for reason the light stayed off for most of Monday, only when i put fuel in that the light came back on i aguess because the power was turned off.

I,m on ebay at mo there's so many modules but no matches, even 2 from a gt doesn't match grrr. They close mind you.

On ebay these one here with a part number 550 66 10 00 pour t10, but 9641478080 doesn't match the number u gave, its for a gt made by autoliv, any good?

#19: Re: need help to find airbag module Author: Timon2210, Location: Palestine PostPosted: Fri Jan 09, 2015 10:58 am
    ----
That is good, the last number is a serial number,as long other numbers matched, then you are fine, how much it cost?

And hitting a man hole while moving away to let the ambulance go through, triggered the airbag somehow, without letting the side one explode, but it triggered a fault, like the ECU were burned, you are lucky that the seat belt still works fine.
be very careful when working with airbags,as it's a killing item,if you are the one who is going to replace it,make sure the battery is not connected.

#20: Re: need help to find airbag module Author: cat41 PostPosted: Fri Jan 09, 2015 11:05 am

It costs 9 quid in full working order.

The seat belts don,t seam to have a contection to any power, the white plug on my side is hanging, i looped a wire in that to see if a red seatbelt light came on but no, i,m not 100% sure why my car has no red seatbelt lights.i seam to have an early gt because it has no rear fin like the others.

The beakers are called ebrakers on ebay.

Think i will kill this car if it doesn't go through the mot but i,m taking it to people who would pass a car if its wheels are fulling lol.
only thing its left rear wheel is nearly touching the inner lining.

I,ve had all the front done monday, new shocks, gas ones, new strut mounts and I antiroll linkage, ohh and track rod ends, before these new parts it would try and scip over bumps in corners, streering would snap out of my hands, it would wonder off to the right under power and left on brakes, the streering was very notchy, at 70 it gose so light it feels if there's no conection to the wheels. All this is sorted now, nice and smooth without scipping or other, its still wondering because i can't get it tracked with the back end gone.

Thats 170 quid for the axle so not bad, ohh and handbrake is so bad i may start putting my foot in the wheel lol.

Odd this i bought it for 700 quid it had big faults and a big risk but those big faults was nothing, but how funny the small handling faults turned out the biggest, ohh well at least its rare otherwise i be none too happy.

Working electric folding mirrors are like gold dust 2nd hand, until I pension of my 206 I wont be getting rid of any of my electric folding mirror spares.

I don't have any rear disc brake part's, much prefer 206's with drum's on the rear Laughing

How do i put photos on here, i would like to show everyone how strong these 206s are, i had a massive crash a few months back, rolled twice into a ditch, it landed upside down, i had to kick the back dorr open, there was police, firemen and ambulance, i,m not sure who was shocked more, they looked at the car them me and side i got out of that alive,

Lol i said just normal for me, when i said i was a super bike rider they was ok, but boy what a vililent crash. The 206 was a blue 90 bhp deisel. I wanted the police to look at the rear end the car was fine into the corner, fine through it but coming out it span round so fast it went in backwards, it round before it went into the ditch, i had to get my things from it in a garage, i looked at the rear wheel, i could see where it plowed there the muk 1st,

I hit a tree branch 2 corners before, it wasn't large but i heard it hit the rear of the car. I,m still none the wiser how on earth a car can spin that fast, i was going quick but no quicker than i,ve been before, that corner i,ve been round loads of times because i lived just done the road.

Glad to hear you're OK!

Upload the photos to some photo sharing site, for instance Photobucket. Copy the public URL for the image from the site, enclose in [ img ] [ /img ] tags (without the spaces) in the text. Or click the icon under the B (bold) button above left and paste the URL into the dialog that opens (adds the tags for you) when you have the cursor at the position in the text you want the image to be placed.

Ah, Photobucket gives/presents links to the page, not the image itself. Guess they want viewer to go to their site...

I right-clicked the image and chose 'Copy image location' then pasted that into the dialog described in my 1st post...
