#1: Wires near drivers headlight Author: Leegsi, Location: Near PortsmouthPosted: Thu Feb 12, 2015 1:25 pm ---- Just looked at a friends car after another friend tried to replace an Aux belt.
In doing so he unplugged a load of wires for better access and now cant remember where they go.
Can anyone tell me what wires (Colour lug and wires) go where please.

#4: Re: Wires near drivers headlight Author: Timon2210, Location: PalestinePosted: Thu Feb 12, 2015 2:05 pm ---- well as far as I know, there is no much wires there, unless he unplug the engine ECU,but why he removed the wires, fitting an AUX. Belt needs nothing to be removed, but the wheel liner.

Indicator wasnt working so just checked the bulb and the holder, plug and loom isnt connected.
Looks like the wires have been caught and damged/cut/worn though (They drove it with the wires hanging) so I now have to find where those wires go as there is about a foot of wire before the cut.

#18: Re: Wires near drivers headlight Author: gazza82, Location: South BucksPosted: Mon Feb 23, 2015 3:39 am ---- The brown one might be something to do with the bonnet catch/alarm. I have that brown connector on my HDi but it isn't connected to anything.
#19: Re: Wires near drivers headlight Author: shaunbrook7104, Location: ShropshirePosted: Tue Feb 24, 2015 3:13 am ---- Get a new friend to work on your car!!
For future reference if you are taking wires off anywhere take pics on your phone and also wrap in masking tape then write where the wire goes!
Saves so much hassle, Most of the plugs should only fit into 1 type of socket, round peg square hole.
Hope you get it sorted.

You might be right about the bonnet
#22: Re: Wires near drivers headlight Author: Leegsi, Location: Near PortsmouthPosted: Fri Feb 27, 2015 3:59 am ---- Off to the scrapyard today so will find out what the wires are.
I noticed the horn also didnt work so put a test meter on the white plug and pressed the horn. To my great surprise it lit up so I now know the white plug is the horn connector.
#23: Re: Wires near drivers headlight Author: Leegsi, Location: Near PortsmouthPosted: Fri Feb 27, 2015 9:04 am ---- The other wire goes the bonnet catch as said before.
Its for the alarm and MFD.
Now when the bonnet isn't shut 100% it shows on the MFD and if I set the alarm it now goes off when the bonnet is opened.
