#3: Re: 206 1.4 2005 uneven idle why?? Author: raa57, Posted: Mon Feb 23, 2015 7:20 am ---- Hi Cainw
No it seems ok when it starts from cold.in the video the car has just stopped after driving 55 miles.
It doesnt seem to do it all the time,as in after the video i stopped it for 30mins then started it up and it idled fine but after driving a couple of miles came to a roundabout an it was doing it again..
not 100% sure but it seems worse when the outside air temp is colder
Will try and sort the private video issue
Thanks Terry
Edit video should be public now

It could simply be a sensor or the whole unit? But I would take it to a peugeot specialist so they can see if the ecu has stored a fault...

If you are reading codes some may be old and unrelated. So:-
1) Read and note the codes.
2) Clear the codes.
3) Take the car for a run from cold and see what codes (re)appear.
4) Work from the new codes.
No one should be recommending taking a car to a specialist to have engine fault codes read. You will pay anything from £30 - £65 and a reading codes is simple.
If you search the net you will find the list of codes and what they mean. It is simple.
