#1: 206 gti clutch noise Author: jamieb22222, Location: United KingdomPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2015 4:08 am ---- Hi my 2003 plate 206 gti (138bhp i think) is making a screeching noise while running, the noise gets louder as the clutch is pushed in. would that be caused by low power steering fluid as it was quite low? also the catalytic converter fault has just come up on display.
Thanks jamie

When the clutch was changed we found it was made of plastic, had actually scored the shaft it was sitting on as it got too hot and fell apart when we took it off.
