#1: Ford Gearbox Author: Orta, Location: GranthamPosted: Thu Mar 12, 2015 1:11 pm ---- Hi,
Tried searching for this but found nothing. Would the gearbox from a 1.4 TDCi Fiesta (Same engine afterall) fit and work fine in my 1.4 HDi 206 SW ?
Cheers in advance!

What is wrong eith your current gearbox?
#3: Re: Ford Gearbox Author: Orta, Location: GranthamPosted: Thu Mar 12, 2015 4:30 pm ---- Nothing faulty. Just the gearbox on my dad fiesta is tight and has short shifts whereas the 206 has a huge long through between each gear. It also feels flimsy and as if I'm about to break it every time I select a gear!

The MA gearbox in your 206 was designed by Fred Flintstone back in the mid 1980's, it's stone age technology & that's why the gear change throw isn't as short as more modern designs by other car manufacturers.
The DV4 engine & MA gearbox isn't known for being a great combination
