#1: Perm Live Author: spykeboi, Posted: Sat Mar 21, 2015 12:36 pm ---- Hi Guys,
I am looking to take a perm live feed for various items that need power.
I don't want to run a cable through the firewall from the battery.
Currently I have an ignition live from the thick red cable below the steering wheel going into the fuse box.
There are 2 further cables going into the fuse box, is one of these perm live?

Look to see which wires are from the battery and cross reference with the wire numbers on the car. Don't go off colours as they are not always the same.
#5: Re: Perm Live Author: spykeboi, Posted: Tue Apr 28, 2015 5:33 pm ---- I've tested all wires going into the front of the fuse box and theyre all ignition live.
It's a pre-plex 206

#7: Re: Perm Live Author: spykeboi, Posted: Wed Apr 29, 2015 1:47 pm ---- As mentioned in my first post, i'm hoping to avoid taking a cable thru the firewall into the cabin from the engine bay

#9: Re: Perm Live Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Wed Apr 29, 2015 4:18 pm ---- Various items? What are you powering?
#10: Re: Perm Live Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Wed Apr 29, 2015 4:27 pm ---- I would recommend feeding from the lives in the engine bay, and not feeding off something else.
A. Your likely to blow a fuse
B. the wiring wont be designed to carry extra ampage and will melt.

Unless its only footwell LED's in which case the current draw is so low that tapping into another source will have no adverse effects.
