#1: MOT failed - rear trailing arm Author: mart1n206, Posted: Tue Mar 24, 2015 5:36 pm ---- My 10 year old 206 failed MOT with "Offside rear trailing arm has excessive play in a pin/bearing". Agreed to have a new axle fitted. Have i chucked away good money?

My concern is that it might not have needed a new axle but could have done with a lesser repair.

By the time play is noticed in the trailing arms generally the pins are badly worn and are beyond repair anyway.
