Pump the primer bulb, if you see bubbles, that's air in the lines.

Thanks for the reply, but i think I said in the original post that all fuel mlines had been replaced already

Not that can be seen, and i have a `1.4 hdi and that sometimes has small bubbles in and doesn't affect the running of it at all.
It almost as if the fuel is being instantly shut off, it doesn't misfire it just dies.
the fault is something to do with the pump constantly priming, it shouldn't. When running the fuel pressure is absolutely fine. It seems most likely now that the problem is ecu based

There should be no air in the fuel lines at all. On the 1.4 it's usually the lines that run around the battery that rub letting air in. Tbh it sounds like air in the system somewhere.
