This washer goes between the oil cooler, further up.

I wonder if I replace it if it needs to be torqued up?

Thanks

Nevermind, I tried all the things, I changed 3 gaskets, I torqued it up, down, no way. After a week the oil leak comes back.

Wash the oil off with a jet wash and then recheck after a drive to see where it's coming from

Shall hopefully be getting my new washer Thursday. When refitting is the a torque setting for the big bolt that screws through the oil cooler?

I would imagine there is considering there is a gasket behind it. Try it as hand tight plus a quarter turn and see from there, most rubber seals will be crushed beyond this point.

Would it hurt to put sump sealant on the outer edges?

I have the new seal. Peugeot state a 8 nm tightening! Isn't that hand tight?

Could go for hand tight plus a 1/4 turn!
