Hi guys,

i have very nasty problem Wink i have been listening for some strange clinging noise in front of my car when engine breaking so i decided to look what is wrong (Mount was new). So when i wanted to unscrew the mount i found out it is moving all around but still fixed. with some struggle i have unscrewed it and found out that the bolts bracket where the mount is screwed to the chassis have cracked.

now i have 2 options i guess. get new chassis part? if that is possible? or to fully remove the bracked and bolt and add some other nut? but would bolt move then as there would not be any more brackets around???

here is the picture of bolt and bracket.... the seen side is ok, it have cracked on the other side....

anyone have got the same problem? or anyone have idea what is best to do here? Smile im a bit worried as i love my car :)))

have phun!
Kris

Very common problem, I've had I happen on a few 206's and it's also known to happen on the 306's as well.

So the captive nut is spinning round?

Yes. But the main problem is that when i manage to tighten the mount it somehow unscrews and loosens after a ride or two so it starts to move around again... Is it a good idea to take this nut out, remove the bracket and just put washer with some nylon nut and thread-lock... ??

You think i should leave the bracket on? It is very damaged though... Or just weld the nut on the place?;)

Or you can put a nut and washer onto that pertruding bolt

Removed everything and tried with nut and washer. Washer was still hitting the old nut bracket so i put only nylon nut now and so far so good ;))

Thanks all for help!! Wink i appreciate it!!:))

Cheers!
