#1: Rocker cover gasket Author: CraygL, Posted: Mon Apr 27, 2015 4:09 am ---- Hey all, been losing oil for the last month or so and have just been keeping it topped up. It looks like my rocker cover gasket is leaking (pics attached). Am I right in thinking this is an easy job on this car? Anything I should look out for? cheers!
Edit: forgot to say, it's a 2001 1.1 lx
#2: Re: Rocker cover gasket Author: RichardEke, Location: DoncasterPosted: Mon Apr 27, 2015 6:34 am ---- Hi there, you're right it is easy.
2 x 10mm nuts holding the rocker cover on, just be careful as you lift it off as there are 2 spacers that sit between the rocker cover and the baffle plate, they usually like to roll around.
2 x 10mm bolts/studs holding the coil pack on
And maybe a rag of some kind to clean the 2 surfaces when going back together.
Oh and removing the engine breather.
&don't over tighten when going back together as this could cause leaks.

Cheers buddy! didn't think i'd have to remove the coil pack but looking at it again there's not much space between the two.
Thanks for the help, ordering the gasket now!
