#5: Re: Does anyone know the length of the drop links on the Gti Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Thu Apr 30, 2015 4:41 pm ---- Thanks project.. they are very similar to a turnbuckle if you know what they are. They are heavy duty the ones I am looking at buying so they will stand upto track days a hell of a sight better than the oem units. It also gives you adjustment over your front antiroll bars slightly. Interested in seeing how lengthening and shortening them affects laps on the track. I know some people dissaprove of adjustable units but I ant to find out for myself what advantages and disadvantages are.

Overall length is 370mm .. Stud to stud distance from the centre point to centre point of the stud . 335 mm ..

Just read your post Doh .
I guess it would just put a pre load on the anti roll .
Make the ride slightly stiffer on turn in? ..
just get a thicker anti roll bar ?? Is that possible ??
#9: Re: Does anyone know the length of the drop links on the Gti Author: 206gt160, Location: BlackburnPosted: Fri May 01, 2015 6:48 am ---- For now I'm going to test out the drop links pal. Yes your right they put a preload on the anti roll bars and will make it stiffer on turn in etc.
You can get uprated bars for other car so I presume you can for the 206, also I think the gti 180 may be slightly thicker than the gti bar. Not 100 percent on that.

Is it definitely metric and not imperial? Did you use digital calipers to measure

Depends on the year of manufacture, Early 138's had a 20mm anti roll bar, 180's had a 21mm throughout production and later 138's had a 22mm bar.

You'r will be the 20mm, I can't remember the changeover year but I know my 2003 GTi has the 22mm
And front ARB this is relating to.
