#1: Passenger Window Issue Gti180 Author: MattyP, Location: PlymouthPosted: Wed May 27, 2015 5:57 am ---- Afternoon guy's, wandering if anyone can help solve an issue I have with the passenger window in my 05 Gti180.
Since I bought her back in 2012 the passenger window has been a bit tempermental when trying to close back up, i.e. when the window is wound right down and you press the switch it seems hesitant about going back up, sometimes have to press+hold the switch for at least 10 seconds before it decides to move.
The drivers window works spotlessly, i'm thinking it might be the actual motor in the passenger door as there are no blockages etc

It's Impossible to just change the motor for the windows so I guess I'll buy a whole door .
Again as I did buy one off eBay . I was sent the wrong door . DOH the connections was wrong . Pre plex against a multiplex don't work .

check the Switch with someone else who has a 206 or just buy another, failing that get a multi meter at the window motor to see if the 12v is instandt when the switch is pressed..
tbh i see it as either the window motor or the switch,,
also how hot does the window motor get?

Why not take the doorcard off and replace the window regulator, its held in with 5 or 6 rivets, drill them out take out the old regulator and put a new one in.. takes all of about 30 mins to replace it.. I did a how to on it..

This! only reason to replace the whole door would be if you couldnt get your hands on a rivet gun. even then its abit overkill
