#1: scrapping noise with wheel rotation Author: trevoroq, Posted: Sat Jun 06, 2015 12:16 am ---- Hi, I have a 2005 1.6 16v 206cc, when I start to move there is a scrapping noise coming from the front nearside , it goes in time with wheel rotation and gets faster as speed increases until at a certain speed , I can't hear it. Turning does not make much difference but when I depress the clutch and coast the noise stops. There is no noise with just the engine running, and it makes no difference if you are turning. I have tried moving the front wheels but can feel no movement, and get no vibration in the steering at 10mph or 70mph. If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful Thanks .

If not probably a wheel bearing !!
