Hello,

I'm wiring in some LED footwell lights and trying to get them to come on with the courtesy light when the doors are opened.

I was looking up wire diagrams and searching the forums but couldn't find an exact answer.. is it true that the wire colours are at random for each 206?..

although I'm not sure I thought it was

yellow/green - earth
yellow - constant live 12v
orange - 12v ignition
blue - neutral

When I added the lights under the door, mine was a thin grey wire, but I've only got 3 wires to the interior light

One of the benefits of the multiplex system, less wiring inside the car Wink

Just buy a car with footwell lights fitted as standard!

Come on now, footwell lights aren't so difficult that you have to buy another car Wink that is not the philosophy for customising cars

I use to have them. I just wired them to a battery and switched them Smile

Lol I'd rather not have to resort to purchasing a new car that had footwell lights preinstalled.
I could wire them into the ashtray light to have them activate with my side lights but I only really want them to come on when I unlock the car or when the doors open.
