Electric Window Issue.
-> 206 Problems

#1: Electric Window Issue. Author: buseng PostPosted: Thu Jul 16, 2015 6:36 am
    ----
I have a 2005 206SE 1.4 petrol 5 door hatchback.
The problem is the o/s rear door electric window is playing up, it goes down but it is a struggle the close it again.
The upshot is that I bought an after market winder assembly, a Vaico V42-0339 which should be a direct replacement for Pergeot p/n 9224-53.
The replacement looks identical in all respects except for one important thing, the plug socket on the motor is different & the plug on the door loom doesn't fit.
The original plug is held in place by a metal clip. On the new motor there does not seem to to be any location lugs for said clip.
Also the new "socket" has an extension piece on the motor side, this prevents the loom plug from fully engaging & making contact with the pins.

Any thoughts please?

Change the connector plug on your door loom OR get the correct motor.

The connector catalogue on Peugeot Service Box will have the connector plug you require for that new motor.

The new unit is the one listed for this particular car, shows oem number as 9224-53 as shown in the sevice box parts for my vin number.
Is this the connector catalogue? Bit of a minefild.

This is the original motor socket.
You can see the difference.

Just replace the regulator and motor together with a second hand one!,, easiest option no messing about either, take the window out, drill 5 pop rivets, out it comes then put the new one in!

I think I have found the answer to my problem!
I believe the earlier (pre mux?) cars had this connection.
Found this on eBay.
