#1: Unable to get old spark plugs out Author: Tom240796, Posted: Tue Jul 28, 2015 8:35 am ---- i have a 2001 1.4 8 valve 206 and am trying to remove and replace the spark plugs, I have a 16mm spark plug socket and a ball/knuckle joint attachment for the socket as well as two different lengths of extension bars but I am still unable to get the socket into the spark plugs as the throttle body is in the way. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thank you.
#2: Re: Unable to get old spark plugs out Author: darthvalkyr, Posted: Thu Sep 03, 2015 5:28 pm ---- Some of the plugs can be a nightmare due to clearance issues with other parts near their holes in the engine block. I resorted to using the socket with an extension bar, and using an adjustable wrench on the square drive part of the extension bar in order to turn them. It's just a case of making the best you can from what tools you have lying around. Good luck.
