#1: Engine cuts out when slowing down Author: Jammzo, Posted: Thu Aug 13, 2015 6:29 pm ---- Recently had head gasket, cambelt, water pump replaced on car, since this and after the throttle body had been cleaned the car cuts out when approaching junctions mainly or coming to a halt. This only happens once/twice a day max and usually when the car has been idle for awhile.
When slowing the engine will cut out but all electrics apart from the fan will stay on and the dash lights appearing will be battery light and handbrake. no engine light. Its not dangerous as luckily it cuts out when coming to a halt but also very annoying.
The steering goes very heavy while this happens and a usuall turn of key and im off again. any help? thanks.

^^ Fairly sure it will be this, bit of a clean out and you should find yourself back up and running again.
