#1: Removing the airbag Author: Squashedfish, Posted: Sun Oct 11, 2015 1:32 am ---- Airbag removal - I am looking to remove the airbag from my GTI, all the things I have read says there should be a hole at the bottom of the steering wheel at the back, mine doesn't have this, it has a slot at the 3 o'clock position, is this the same thing?

Either way, disconnect the battery and leave for about 10-15 mins before you try anything .. that discharges the system ...
