#1: Engine/Exhaust fluttering when accelerating Author: devildriverxii, Location: StevenagePosted: Thu Oct 22, 2015 11:15 am ---- Hey.
I have a 2002 GTI [Not 180]
At times I get a loss about, I'd say about 40%, and a fluttering noise, which sounds like it's coming from the front of the car, but this only happens when I've been going at a decent speed...Usually over 50mph, but it seems to be worse in the lower 3 gears.
Sometimes if I drop down to second, and floor it quite aggressivly the fluttering goes and the power is resotred, but it's only usually temporary.
Any ideas what it could be?
Thanks in advance.
