I've heard there's 2 types of turbos fitted to this engine? Thanks

My W- plate yield that several could've been equally fitted, looks like it doesn't make much difference, and they don't indicate which one rolled out of factory precisely even with VIN provided..
but maybe we'll have more luck with your newer car

If it has 'Garrett' stamped on the aluminium housing you have a GT15. Else it'll be the KKK K03

Wondering whats on mine as I was considering using the GT17 off a VW CR170 as an upgrade in the future.
