#1: Broken Multifunction Display Author: kabw, Location: Falmouth, CornwallPosted: Sun Nov 22, 2015 10:08 am ---- Hi everyone,
The multifunction display on my 206 (2001 1.6 16v GLX 5d) has broken and I'm unsure how to fix it.

The ribbon cable which connects the display to the circuit board has become detached (see photo). Is there any way to fix it or do I need a whole new unit?
The serial number is 96424922ZR 4.8. If anyone has one for sale please let me know!
Cheers,
Kieran

Will I have to replace it with an identical display or will any 206 display from that year work?

Displays work on connection type. You need a PPT30. Go for the same multi line display if you can get your hands on one.

There's a couple of PPT30 displays the same as mine on ebay atm, I'll get one of them.
Thanks for the help!

Don't think even a hot bar would do it - some of the pads on the flex are completely gone, so would require jumping tiny wires from the board pad to a bit further up the flex... Not completely impossible, but a bit too high on the P.I.T.A. scale for me to try if it was mine.
