EML Light
-> 206 Problems

Hi all - this is my first post here and unfortunately it's a problem!

Yesterday I had to call out the AA after my 206 (a 1.1 Petrol manufactured 2006) sputtered to a halt. I got towed to the garage by the patrol van and left it with my trusted local mechanic. At first they assumed it was a cat failure but this was not the case.

In the end I had the coil plugs changed as this was causing some backfiring, shaking and build-up of fumes inside the car. I collected it from the garage yesterday and drove home and all was seemingly well. I've gone to move the car this morning and got halfway down the street when the EML light came on on the dash.

The AA guy connected his diagnostic kit to the car yesterday but it wasn't compatible, so I'm wondering if this is another fault or a code error generated by the work done on the car yesterday.

Any ideas guys? Would be much appreciated!

I'd find it odd the AA diag system didn't connect to a 2006 petrol.

If it's running ok, try it for a couple more days .. it may be left over from the fix as I doubt of the garage bothered to clear the codes ... and may away go on its own.

Well the EML comes up when there is something wrong,so if there is something wrong since you picked it up from the garage,it will light after few kilometers,but since yours came on next day,I assume it's something else triggered it.
Better to be checked by a Peugeot Tech.
