think there's alot of that, the new jap show at combe in may clashes with a local show down here and japfest has moved to silverstone in April

Japfest has got to the point where it has out grown Combe now so Silverstone is a much needed solution.
FCS is becoming a little crowded these days though. Won't be long before that out grows Combe.

I dont reckon info will have a stand which is a shame, maybe we can be pushed to one side of the 180 owners club for a bunch of non 180s? Laughing

Possibly tag onto Modified 365s stand if they're having one.

Also I agree with addaz, I think we should go on 180 stand but be pushed to the side because I doubt there will be enough people from info to even make a stand, as last year there was only about 6 cars

The only thing I'd have with that is its pointless Myself, MattyP and Vexs putting the effort into organising our 180 stand for it then to have a few non 180 owners, after we've already said no to people for similar requests. If we were to do that it might as well go down as 206info which most will not be prepared to do

#15: Re: FCS 2016 Author: Vexs, Location: London PostPosted: Sun Jan 24, 2016 10:15 pm

Unfortunately the 180 owners club stand will remain a 180 owners club stand. Please don't purchase tickets and select us a parking option unless you own a 180 thanks.

For the record this is not us sticking our noses up at info because we think we're superior or some bs like that, I would actually quite like to see info revived to it's former glory..
but we as a club make a lot of effort to arrange stands at shows and we go out of our way to reach out to other 180 owners so we can have somewhat of a decent size stand at shows.
This is something info's admin have no interest in doing with the exception of Vortex & Ste although M365 keeps him busy enough! Thats not a dig either, it's just the way things have been for info for a while now, info is a great places for archived info but nothing more these days.

Honest 2 cents would be join a club like Peugeot Enthusiast Group, Peugeot Modified or Stance France if sump scrapping is your thing.
Social media like facebook rule the way for organizing shows, even well established forums like the majority of the Renault ones use facebook because it's a wider audience.
The Peugeot 206 Owners Club on facebook has more posts in a hour than 206info does in a day to put things in perspective.

It's good to see info trying to stay afloat and see members making an effort to attend shows, but broaden your horizons and get in with other clubs, your enjoy it more.

This guy knows^ but then again he would, he knows how frustrating it can be trying to get members to commit, knowing that they could just be people who will mess you about and that we may or may not get the members on board to make a decent looking stand. Last year was my first in charge of the group, for my first show I wouldn't say I did too bad seeing as the previous was only interested if he got a free ticket, still we managed a fair few and yet broke that number at Expo, even though 3-4 of our main members weren't present. As Vexs said, it isn't that were looking down our noses, but we wouldn't have the club stand if we let car other variant on too

I have to agree with Vexs and LiamMiller on this guys, sorry. As much as it would be awesome to see a good turnout for the info crew at FCS, there just aren't enough members willing to make it happen, the scene is constantly changing and people are wanting better cars than a 206.

It's also a no from me in relation to having info to one side of the 180 stand, the 3 of us work hard at maintaining the group for new members or people who are in the process of buying one but also organising stands for shows, although these are only FCS and FCS Expo, it would seem pointless having a stand at FCS otherwise.

I've already organised a stand for info at FCS 2013 and although alot of people were keen, there wasn't a good turnout tbf which was disappointing since you got to spend time making sure people are buying their tickets and then keeping the organisers up to date etc. As Vexs as said, it's pretty much dead on here now and everyone is using facebook to discuss related issues etc, thats where the larger groups are nowadays.

To put this into perspective, FCS last year, info only had 3 cars on show, my advice would be, join the other peugeot groups on fb and attend FCS with them

Don't get me wrong, it is a good idea but would be pointless me, vexs and liammiller organising a 180 stand for this year

180 club is for 180s, hence you fellows would like to keep your brand pure, and I'd do the same if I were you.

Just like 180 club, M365 is our sister club too, let's see if we could join forces there (after all most of members are ex-infoers), so there would be a lot of info exchange on the day Smile

Pointless in spreading ourselves too thin and wandering off to other clubs, especially when not everyone's using Facebook, and even if they do, it takes time to get into a community, where in the end you just won't feel yourself at home (and everyone's understanding of home is different). My home is where 206 is Very Happy and where I can get and give info about her, and great people that are around, even if it's just a handful.

In the worst scenario even if we can't make it to Pugfest (lest FCS), I'll keep doing mini meets like we did last year, and couldn't feel happier Very Happy

Facebook isn't to bad depending on how you use it in all honesty. I was anti-facebook a year ago and just joined with the intention of keeping it strictly networking within a car scene, no friends or family, just car folk. It's been decent so far, great source for parts.. I mean I picked up a set of Vortex's for £20 2 weeks ago.. cant be all that bad Laughing
Met plenty of other people, we've kind of partnered with a secondary club also for non french based shows which is great as it opens up a lot more shows to attend for a lot of our members and with that comes track days, rolling road etc etc.

Anyway, if any of you guys do attend then stop by and say hello and if your camping then give us a heads up and come by Saturday night for a BBQ and a few beers and the usual car show antics, just bring your own food and beer and it's all good Smile
