#1: advise on clutch release bearing please Author: toecutter PostPosted: Mon Feb 01, 2016 3:50 am

just fitted a clutch into 1.4 lx cable clutch
i have fitted a valeo clutch
i did not change the realese bearing tube as it lookd ok to me if they nead replaceing is it clear just looking at them as in no ruff edges or is there more to this
also when fitting the realese bearing one of the tiny plastic clip edges snappd off as in the tiny clip parts about 1-2 mm the bearing seams to slide up and down ok but should i get a new one clearly if money was no object then i would but then i would not be fitting a clutch myself if it was . but if its going to fail with just the one clip left then may be i should get another
TBH i do not feel that confident in the design of these bearings surely would be better if it was metal or at least a better sucuring system i was considering drilling a hole and putting a cable tie on each end

I wouldn't trust either one clip or the cleaned up bearing tube.

Can't you get a tube ordered in by your local Peugeot or Citroen dealer? They may agree to post it if you aren't able to collect ..
