Hi there.

Hoping for some Expert help.
My Peugeot 206 1,6i 16V year 2005 started sending the temp. gauge to the top and turning the stoplight on.
Therefore, I started checking the earth/ground in the engine bay, it all measured out fine, but I made an extra wire from battery negative to the chassis.
Then my attention turned to the sensor. There is only one on this model right ????
A two wired clip retained brass NTC edition one.
Measured the wires the White is ground through the ECU middle connector the purple (Lilla) measures 5 V DC and is connected to the "hind" connector on the ECU.
Changed the sensor but my gauge still goes to max etc.
Then I fixed the Relays in the front one was corroded, so spliced the wiring loom to this one the Brown one (the lowest) on my it is for high-speed.
Still this does nothing to the gauge....
Therefore, my attention turned to the resistance just below and right to the relays. Now the Fan motor runs high-speed with engine running, and proceeds in low speed with ignition off.

Therefore, my conclusion on this it must be a faulty sensor (thus new) or the Thermostat, which is the complete plastic block on the side of the head, but this looks new.

Please help if anyone can.

Please

Is there one more sensor in this that has eluded me?
Confused Sad Mad Crying or Very sad

Hello Again

The new sensor was bad. Thank good.

Therefore, to round up, following was changed:
( it had some uneven running when cold)

4 sparkplugs “Beru”
MAP/MAF sensor
Relays for the cooling fan New “Cartier”
Wiring harness for the lower relay
Fan resistance
And
Cooling temp sensor (twice)

Peugeot dealer told me that I could not get a new electrical plug for the sensor. Told me I would have to go to the scrap to get one…
