Evenin` all....

My 206 is just coming up to 10 years old and has 75k on the clock,
So I`m thinking its time to get the belt changed...

Only had it since last year and the service book is stamped for its first 7 years , but no mention of timing belt change.
Think its best to change it for peace of mind...

Anyways , just wondering if anyone has any idea what be an average price to pay for the job ???

Anything to look out for ?

Any other advice ???

cheers Smile

Mentioning which engine is in the car would be my best advice.

No idea how much a garage would charge, I think the book time is probably around 4 hours.
Simple enough job to do yourself if you have some experience on the spanners, and not many tools are needed.

If doing the belt, it's also good practice to change the water pump at the same time, which in turn gives a good excuse to change the coolant.

Had a quote from a friend of a friend , he runs a small garage.

£200 All in... Cash Wink

but that's includes a full Timing Kit (not just the belt) and a new waterpump too

(Timing kit and waterpump costs £70 from europarts)

How does that sound ?

I paid £190 cash for the cambelt kit and water pump so that sounds spot on
