#1: Gti 180 oil leak help Author: cainw1, Posted: Sat Jun 04, 2016 11:21 am ---- Hi there ive read through a few threads about oil leaks but can't find one in this area. I have attached some photos hopefully this helps. Any help much appreciated!! I have changed the rocker gasket about 2 years ago.
It's obviously dripping onto the top of the gearbox as seen in photos and then off the bottom of the gearbox underneath

#3: Re: Gti 180 oil leak help Author: cainw1, Posted: Sun Jun 05, 2016 7:58 am ---- Thanks for your reply. I've had a look at the actual sensor and the oil starts slightly nearer the back of the engine than the sensor and also a little bit lower down. There is a little oil on the hoses behind engine on the same side as the photo

If you look at the picture you will be able to see a puddle of oil ontop of the gearbox and then on the bottom right of the picture you can see a hose which has some oil on top of it. I am thinking it could just be the rocker cover again despite the fact I changed it two years ago.
