Antipolloution fault (with fault-codes)
-> 206 Problems

#1: Antipolloution fault (with fault-codes) Author: zx81 PostPosted: Mon Jun 06, 2016 8:27 pm

Hi all

I've came across this site a few times when researching problems with my Peugeot 206 (1.6 XSI, 04).. however this time I'm at an impasse.

The problem is I have an Anti pollution fault the fault code given is P0112 which according to some googling told me it was the AIT sensor .. so I ordered a new sensor and fitted it (when I say new sensor I actually mean a 2nd had but supposedly good sensor, as it was the only way to get the exact part number)

after clearing the code it went out I started the engine a few times .. seemed to be clear, in the morning I went to drive to work and it came back on when I started the car.

I found the pinout for the part and checked the sensor the MAP pin changes voltage when I accelerate, the 5v line is 5v, the temp line sits at about 1.4 but was rising to around 1.5 or 1.6 whilst it was idling in the drive and the last pin was 0v (ground)
if I disconnect the sensor i get fault code P0122 (pin high) which is the opposite of the P0112 fault (pin low)

any help would be appreciated

colin.

what are you using for diagnostic?in this case it's best to use Peugeot Planet,as it gives you more details on what is wrong

I used both Peugeot planet and a cheap obd tool ... the Peugeot planet, I originally got to sort an ABS problem. However in the fault diagnostics the P0112 fault shows up as a butterfly solenoid valve on the turbocharger... I don't have a turbo as far as I'm aware. The fault on the generic obd tool says that it is a throttle sensor.. and google says it's a air intake temperature sensor..

I think the version of planet I have is 6.19 or something like that...
