hi all im a newby on here we, have owned peugeots before ie 406sri 206 verve, now my other half has the 207 thp150 great car and for the summer days of sunshine we have just purchased a 206cc, but we are having a problem with the spare key for the last, its the keys that dont have this led light in them that i keep reading about but has 2 buttons lock unlock, i can get the key to unlock the doors using the key and start the motor but it wont work the central locking, i have put a new battery in the fob and made sure that the chip got put into the new outer case that i purchased as the old one had a button missing, any help would be good,
I have tried to follow things on the inter net on how to re sinc the fob but they only seem to cover the fobs with the led in them, thanks martin

Has it ever worked? If you have just bought the car and have never had the spare fob work the remote locking then it's extremely likely the previous owner bought the fob separately and just put a new cut key and inserted an immobiliser chip in the fob and just synched it so they could open the door and start the car in an emergency. The remote locking control circuit board is an entirely different component in the fob and you a) have to have exactly the right CB and with a new immobilser chip, only then will you be able to synch in the remote using Peugeot Planet or similar although you would need the key code to do this too

So if you can, talk to the previous owner about the spare key and has it ever worked the remote central locking then that will save a lot of grief for is it's the wrong CB in there then you'll be wasting your time trying to do anything with it
