#1: Electric issues Author: mikla90, Posted: Wed Oct 26, 2016 9:47 am ---- Hello everybody! I'm having a couple of problems with my 206. As I said in the presentation post, it's a 1.6 liters 110 bhp HDi FAP from mid 2005. The problems are two:
First, the COM2000 indicator isn't working properly. Specifically, the turn signals and high beams aren't always working. They just flash a bit, then turn off. I watched a couple of videos and I think the problem is a bit of dirt on the contacts on the main board of the COM2000. Being an electronic, I'll try to disassemble it and clean and restore the contacts, maybe with some soldering if necessary. Is this the correct way or are there other solutions with this part that I can try? I want to specify that it's working fine as for the position, it's not coming back or accidentaly turning on the left indicator as most did.
Second, the coolant level sensor. It just turns on randomly saying something like "coolant level low" and flashing the STOP light on the dashboard. Obviously, the coolant level is fine. I believe it's a problem with the contact. Maybe a bit of electrical WD40 or similar will restore eveything to the normal? Or is a faulty part that I need to change for some reason? Ah, the engine temperature is always in the normal zone. It doesn.t go any up, even in long journey (about 300 km in a shot).

Well for the first problem,it's best to replace the whole comm2000 unit with a used one in excellent working condition,or with a brand new one,not OEM one,but (VALEO) as after market is a bit cheaper,as fixing these is not easy as you think.
for the second problem,you need to check the (Coolant Level Sensor) that is fitted on the Coolant expansion tank,as the message you get regarding the level of the coolant,and it has nothing to do with temp. on the gauge,and since your coolant level is fine,then you need a new coolant level sensor,and you will be fine.
