#1: 4 or 5 gauge cluster?! Author: mpc007, Posted: Wed May 24, 2017 1:00 pm ---- Hi guys, first post here
Originally from the Netherlands, but the only 206 dedicated forum there has been discontinued so looking for someplace else to get my info and discuss the car.
Right now, I do not own a 206 yet, I have a 106 1.4 Sport in Gris Quartz which is great but will probably be traded in for a 206 with at least the 1.6 16v this summer or a bit later.
However, one of the things I came across when looking for nice offers was the gauge cluster on the 206. Some cars seem to have 4 gauges, and some do have five. First, I thought this depended on the engine but the 1.6 16v comes in both variants. This is also not connected to the car having white or black gauges, again both variants occur (for a total of four variants, and then I'm only talking Phase II so not the old Jaegers with the different more squared font).
So what is it, when does a 206 have the five gauge cluster with the added oil temp on the right and the coolant temp as a smaller one in the rev counter, and when does it not have oil temp and the coolant on the right?!
Many thanks in advance
#2: Re: 4 or 5 gauge cluster?! Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Wed May 24, 2017 2:38 pm ---- Mine rolled out the factory with the 4 gauge cluster & I retro fitted the 5 gauge cluster.
As a rough rule of thumb - the sporty or higher spec versions are likely to have the 5 gauge cluster factory fitted.
