The one that came off the car has this code on it 9644682ZL, my question is if I buy a second hand one which has the same switches for the fog lights and no auto wipers etc but a different number will it work on my car?

If you can be without the car for a couple of days you could send it away & get it repaired.

I found a code match for my GTi 180 that came off from a 807 HDi model, works like charm!
