#1: 51 reg, 206 convertable, 2lt, 16 valve petrol. fuel leak. Author: johno206, Posted: Wed Aug 30, 2017 1:02 pm ---- Hi, my 206 started spraying petrol out of a pipe under the chassis, RH side, appears to go from or to the pump.
The pipe had holes in, possibly from recent road resurfacing stones. My local garage fitted a standard rubber hose, as no Peugeot part available.
The following day, this new pipe split, (not near the connections), my garage believe it was a faulty batch of pipe, fitted one from another batch. Not really tested this any distance as i am away for a couple of months.
My questions to the forum are :
Can the fuel pump go over pressure,? if the regulator is faulty, (although the hose they fitted is rated at 150 psi.)
Anyone experienced this problem?
Where can i get an a peugeot hose, (I believe part #1573WZ)
Maybe they right, and i was just unlucky.
Appreciate any thoughts.

The issue is the 206 has been superseded twice now ( shortly to be three times ) & as the parts stock runs out - unless its a service part or a part used on other PSA Peugeot / Citroen products, there not being restocked.
Check Ebay for that part number OR ask around people that buy up absolute main dealer parts stock.
Other then that I'm sure there will be someone / a company somewhere that could make a suitable replacement up to fit.

I can only assume it's from constant wear and rubbing with vibration, as the holes in both pipes were around the same place on the first downward bend from the sender. Tried to feel and look into that area and think there's a weld seam which may have worn them over time. Sender line was far worse than the return. Not in stock at Peugeot but they ordered in from warehouse. Mine were for diesel though, I don't have part numbers to hand. Did see one of the two I needed on eBay. Definitely worth following up MrBSI suggestions.
Oh, I taped up my sender pipe which was gushing fuel, until I got the new one and it didn't leak at all so I don't think pressure would cause it to burst, if I read what you wrote correctly. I also wrapped gaffer tape around the new pipes on the area they had worn to help prevent future failure.
Hope that helps.
