I'm having a problem with my beautifull 206 2.0 HDi, when the engine gets warm and I'm driving for around 20 minutes, the gear shifter becomes very stiff when moving left or right. I have no problem engaging gears, I've changed transmission fluid and the shifter has been tuned. I have no idea what to expect, I'm getting it to a mechanic soon but I just wanna be prepared if I have to change the gearbox or get it repaired

SAE 75W-80 is the stuff your after.

No idea since it was my mechanic that made the change, he used to work for Citroen so I think that he would put the right oil. But you never know...

You can access some of the linkages from the passenger side of the car, if you jack it up and look underneath.
The other linkages you can access by taking the air filter housing completely out and looking down both towards and away from the engine.
I used to have a Peugeot 206 and my shifter was stiff in its lateral movement until I did this which then freed it up.
