#1: BSI + Engine management Replacement Author: Berth, Location: Denmark PostPosted: Tue Dec 19, 2017 9:51 am
    ----
Hi

My BSI and/or Engine management computer are dead and i need a replacement

To day I have a
206 GTi from 10/2000 with RFN engine
BSI box is with "B2"
Engine management computer is IAW 48P2.38

Would it be possible to replace it with a

206 GTi from 1999 with RFR engine
BSI box is with "B2"
Engine management computer is IAW 48P2.316 or IAW 48P.10

Or should it match 100%

Edit:

The BSI box match 100% BSI 9626460880 and ECU IAW 48P2.316

An RFR car is a single lambda car so there's a difference straight away.

Either look on the Peugeot connector repair catalogue for that black connector OR get a 2nd hand one from a scrap 206.

There are tools for easily removing the pins from the connector.

I'd get a 2nd hand connector with some loom still attached & swop all the good wire / pins over from the original connector in to the replacement.

The burnt one - the connector pin will be knackered - leave the tail in the replacement connector then join the replacement tail wire to the original wire with solder & protect with heat shrink.

Got it wired up again, put sadly its still not running, PP2000 cant connect to Engine ECU. Testet with both the original BSI/ECU and the replacement.

I will start to go thru the wiring following it from BSI to ECU looking for any visible issues.

Is the Black connector in the BSI the connection for the ECU?

Any suggestions on possible issues to look for?
