#1: 206 cutting out Author: jacko17, Posted: Wed Jan 31, 2018 8:17 pm ---- Hi all,
Have bought a 206 1.4 2008 on Sunday, was in a bit of a hurry as I had work the next day and need a run around just to get me by for a couple of weeks.
Went to view it the guy told me sometimes the car loses power and stalls it’s the coil pack but he hasn’t got round to doing it. He started the car up all seemed fine took it for a test drive was all fine again, drove home and it was fine until the next day it started doing as he said and quite frequently. So I changed the coil pack and if anything it’s made it worse than before it cut out in 2nd gear which it didn’t do before I done.
Sometimes I start the car and in idle then reeves hover from 1000rpm to 900.
I’ll upload a video to YouTube in a minute so you can see what’s happening when it’s cutting out

Find someone with Peugeot Planet / Diagbox to scan the car & see what faults are stored.
Most likely find faults stored even with the diagnostic light off.
Hasn't got NGK spark plugs fitted in it?
If it has swop them for Bosch.
