#1: Air/exhaust leak on 206 1.4 HDI? Author: razghost1, Posted: Mon Apr 02, 2018 11:12 am ---- I've had this noise of a air leak for a couple of months now. Doesn't effect performance in any way and revs don't fluctuate at all. Someone said to me it sounds like the exhaust gasket has gone but when looking for the leak although it smells like exhaust fumes it is not coming from the headers.
It would appear to be coming from a box to the left of the airbox but I am having trouble trying to pinpoint exactly where.
Here's a video I made of the noise, I point out near the end where I suspect the leak to be coming from but I have no idea what it is and don't believe it to be a exhaust leak which still doesn't explain the smell.
Thanks for any help, also there is no froth on the oil cap and the coolant has remained unchanged in the last 2 months so I don't suspect a head gasket.
